How long do the treatments last?
The initial consultation with the treatment takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. The follow-up treatments last around one hour. Every treatment is allotted sufficient time to provide the maximum benefit to the patient while insuring their comfort.
What should I expect during my first visit?
The first office visit is the most important. We will be going over in length about your health condition, any diagnosis you were given and the treatments you have undertaken. You will also be evaluated according to Chinese medicine. We will cover all pertinent matters to help obtain an accurate picture of your treatment needs. You will be given an explanation of your condition according to Chinese medicine in order to help you better understand and evaluate yourself. We will also discuss the do’s and don’ts as well as any lifestyle, behaviour and dietary changes or exercises that can help you. This is followed by the initial treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments varies from person to person. Most health conditions take more than one treatment to be resolved. It depends on many factors including the duration and severity of the complaint. For example if your condition is acute, 2-3 treatments may completely resolve symptoms; however if you have been dealing with your symptoms for many years, addressing them effectively will take longer. Importantly, you will notice improvements quickly. After the initial assessment we will have a better guide.

Does OHIP or work insurance cover the cost of the treatments?
OHIP does not; however many extended health care insurance benefits do. Speak to your provider to obtain details on the extent of your coverage.
